Inter Country Adoption Committee

Functions :

To issue ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) for inter-country adoption of Indian children by Non-Resident Indians / Overseas Citizens of India / Foreigners;
To issue Conformity Certificate in the cases of inter-country adoption finalized in India (as per Art. 23 of the Hague Convention, 1993);
To decide the cases of recognition / renewal / derecognition of Indian Placement Agencies (RIPAs) and enlistment / renewal / de-enlistment cases of Foreign Adoption Agencies (EFAAs);
To decide appropriate measures to be taken in adoption disruption cases;
Any other matter having policy ramifications regarding inter-country adoption.
